Brett Allan

Head Professional

Brett has spent time learning his trade in New Zealand, England and Canada. He started his PGA traineeship in 2006 and came to Hastings from Peninsula Golf Club, Auckland.

As a golf professional Brett enjoys spending time on the range assisting golfers in making the correct investment when it comes to new clubs. Not everyone is the same, nor do they swing the same. It is imperative that when thinking about investing in new clubs you come and talk to us so we can advise you of the best set composition for your game. Brett has invested time in learning to use Flightscope, BodiTrak along with high speed camera technology to best benefit his clients. The latest addition to his arsenal of teaching technology is a pressure plate for you to stand on whilst learning what your body does during the golf swing.

A regular competitor in PGA Pro-Am events and attendee of training workshops Brett always has his finger on the pulse of what is new and current. Brett has held a role on the board of Hawkes Bay Golf and PBW Inc., in which he was enjoyed being of service to golfers of the region and instrumental in the growth of the game.

Andrew ‘AJ’ Jones

PGA Member

AJ joined SpecialTee Golf in June 2017. Before that he was at Remuera Golf Club for a number of years where he worked in the Bar and Cafe as well as Men’s Golf Administration before starting his PGA apprenticeship in 2016.

Now fully qualified, AJ enjoys all aspects of the game, including coaching golfers of all abilities from young juniors to adults.

So, if you have any golfing questions or want to book some coaching to improve that golf game, give him a ring in the shop today.

AJ has an important role of ensuring the golf program here at Hastings Golf Club runs smoothly and seamlessly for our members and also in the wider region of Hawkes Bay as he is a the Hawkes Bay Golf administrator.

Jasmine Wilson

PGA Member

We are delighted to introduce and welcome Jasmine Wilson to our coaching team.

Jasmine is a New Zealand PGA Professional that has been residing in Beijing since 2012.

Jasmine has worked and trained hard while she has been in China becoming one of China’s most renowned PGA coaching professionals with her academies based in Beijing.

Jasmine has coached several elite and tour players over the years however she thoroughly enjoys coaching juniors of all levels.
Jasmine has immense knowledge of junior golf development having worked for New Zealand Golf as a regional Golf Development Manager for many years.
Another one of Jasmine’s passions is ladies swing biomechanics. Jasmine believes that ladies golf is very different to men’s golf and that there are a number of aspects in the swing and game that Jasmine coaches that can help each female player achieve their optimal result.

Jasmine has moved back to Hawkes Bay with her two young boys and joining them soon her husband Mike who is the superintendent at Nicklaus Club Beijing. She loves being home and very excited to be a part of  the Hasstings Golf Club and SpecialTee Golf team
